Suddenly can't create new browser windows

I've used ^N to create a new window and right-click|"open in new window" for
ages. Suddenly it won't happen. No matter what, the current window is
high-jacked by the next window opened. I can't find a place in the settings
where this can be disabled (enabled?). "Reuse windows for launching
shortcuts" is unchecked.

Anybody know?

I see another post here from someone with a similar problem. I had that
Yahoo toolbar and had uninstalled it already. The problem remains, however.

Hi Mike,

I had the same problem once after installing Google toolbar. I tried many
different versions but it was always the same. I never found a solution
other than to uninstall it again. I have never seen a similar problem on
other computers though.

I know it doesn't help you much but I just wanted to share my experience.

Google toolbar was on my computer for some time before this happened, my
suspicions now are with Yahoo. I fixed the problem, by the way. Ran
HyjackThis and deleted a bunch of Browser Helper Objects I found there from
AOL, Yahoo, and Google. Can't say which one did the trick but all is well
now.
