Multiple instances of IE 6 suppressed

I'm suddenly finding that I can't launch multiple instances of IE on my PC.
If I try to open a second running instance, it closes the first one and
replaces it - this is especially frustrating if the browser is launching a
new window as the parent window is lost.

I can't understand why this has suddenly started happening. I've reset all
the settings in IE6 to defaults but no joy. The only thing that's differnt is
that I've recently installed the new Yahoo Messenger beta, but I did that on
another system and didn't have this problem.

Anybody got any ideas?

Hi,
The Yahoo toolbar blocks the opening of a new (second) window on some
systems. Check Add/remove programs for the Yahoo toolbar and uninstall it.
Disabling the pop-up blocker feature is usually not sufficient to stop this
behavior.

Hope this helps,

I went into 'manage add-ons' and disabled everything that had been installed
with a Yahoo name. Guess what - all works fine now!

Really apprecaite your help.
