Only one instance of IE will exist at a time

Hi!
On my daughters computer, running XP and IE 6.0, only one instance of IE
will run at a time. If you launch a new IE, it closes the exiting one and
opens the new one. If you click on a link in a web page that opens a new
page, it launches the new page and closes the original one. No matter what we
try, only one IE page will exist at a time. Please help. Thanks!

IE will not open in new window
Cannot open multiple browser windows
Can't open more than 1 IE window
IE windows closes when you click on a link

Have you tried this?
Tools-Internet Options-Advanced.
Uncheck "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts"

If that is not the problem, then perhaps it is a toolbar you have
added?
Try removing extra toolbars, in particular, the Yahoo toolbar.

I have Windows 2000 and IE 6 and mine has just started doing the same thing.
With very few exceptions I can not get another window to open. If someone
initiates a chat while this screen is open it will get wiped out. One IE
Window at a time. Help? Thank you Alan, but those items did not correct the
problem.
