Opening new browser window

AJS

Hi,
I am tired of right clicking and choosing "Open Link in New Window".
I unchecked "Reuse Windows for launching shortcuts" in the "Advanced" tab,
but it still does not work. I tried it by first clicking on "Restore
Defaults" and then unchecked "Reuse...".
I do not use a "block pop-up window" software of any type. No Spyware
detected either.
Please help.
Thanks

Getting any error messages when you try? If so, see here:
When you click a link on a Web page that uses scripting to open a new
window, the new window may not open, or you may receive an error message

Here maybe:

You can also press and hold the Shift key while you click a link.

Did you look at the second link? Admittedly, the first one concerned itself
with the R-Click option, but the second link and the use the shift key were
aimed specifically at your "open in new window" issue.

SYMPTOMS
When you click a hyperlink on a Web site, the hyperlink does not open in a
new Internet Explorer window, as expected. Instead, the hyperlink opens in
the same Internet Explorer window or in another currently open Internet
Explorer window.

The above MSKB article does not necessarily apply to XP (it isn't listed in
the applies to section) but that might not be a concern for you since you
didn't state which OS you are using.
