I'm not sure what I did but my system and all of a sudden
started asking for a password at bootup. I only have one
user [Administrator]. There is no password, I just have
to hit the enter key and it will boot up normally. I've
been using it for months without having to do this. I
loaded some updates and after that I now keep getting
this. What can I do to get the system to just boot-up
directly and run without having to hit the enter key?

Have you installed any updates from windows update? If
you have you might have installed the .net framework
which adds an accounts. Go to control panel and then
click users. Then click change an account and choose
delete

Hi Lester,

This is due to the .Net Framework update. It adds a user.

1. Go to Start/Run and type in: control userpasswords2 and press ok.

2. On the Users tab, clear the Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To
Use This Computer check box and then click OK.

3. In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the user name
and password for the account you want to be logged on each time you start
your computer.

Add Control UserPasswords2 to the Control Panel (Line 1)
