SubSystem Spooler App error

We have a small workgroup of 5 machines, 3 XPPro, 1
XPHome, and 1 Win2K. When I run the Network Setup Wizard,
it will run for a short time and then generate an error
message "SubSystem Spooler App has encountered a problem
and needs to close". The fix from the MS site (KB Article
810894) did not solve this issue. This did not arise when
adding a printer, but rather when running the Network
Setup Wizard.
 
Hi JerryAtrick,

Try stopping the spooler service before running the Network Setup Wizard by
going to Start>Run and keying in:
net stop spooler
<ENTER>

Run the Network Setup Wizard (hopefully with success this time), and then
restart the spooler service by going to Start>Run and keying in :
net start spooler
<ENTER>
