Style application to older files

I have office 2003 and it annoyingly creates and shows my
initial next to all comments I insert in a document. I
have changed the STYLE so comment reference does not
appear, but this will not apply to existing documents.
How can I fix this please?

You can use the Style Organizer to copy your new Comment Reference style
from normal.dot to existing documents. This is a one-document-at-a-time
proposition, so I would probably do this only on an as-needed basis.
