I am trying to publish a web site created by FrontPage to
an address containing a web published via FTP. The
hosting company has already installed FP extensions for my
site.
When I open my "index.html" file in the web I desire to
publish and click the "publish" button, I am prompted for
the web address, then for my username and password. This
is where I get stuck. My username and password are not
accepted (the "enter network password" screen keeps
reappearing after I enter my username and password). When
I eventually click "cancel", I am asked whether I want to
create a web at the location I've specified.
I have logged onto the web address siteadmin page on the
web using my username and password (I'm recognized as a
site administrator), so I don't understand why I can't
publish through FrontPage.
It has been suggested that I remove all the files on the
current web and then publish, but I don't know how to do
that without being able to access the site via FrontPage.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
