Stuff for Mac

Anthony Giorgianni

Hello All

Sorry if this message appears twice. Due to a typo, I cancelled the first
version right after sending, but some of you may have downloaded it already.

I'm just wondering... is there a lot of free stuff out there for Mac? Any
top sites that show you where it all is?

Thx.

Back in the days, when I was nice and still used a Mac, The Michican
Institute for Technology (MIT) was one of the largest archives for Mac (Most
system 6 and 7 stuff, though)

The archive can still be found at
http://hyperarchive.lcs.mit.edu/HyperArchive.html
Then there is (of course) http://mac.tucows.com/

Some other links I found with google (+freeware +macintosh)
http://www.macosarchives.com/
http://macfreebees.tripod.com/
http://www.trentu.ca/~rloney/macintosh.shtml
http://www.cornstalker.com/freeware/index.html
http://macs.about.com/cs/softwarereviews/a/freeware_utils.htm?PM=ss15_macs

Now, my child, take this list, and go out to search, find & play, while we
windows users go on with much more serious issues: Getting the **cking
windows system to work as it should ;-)

Nice to know MIT has relocated from Massachusetts - much more convenient
for me. . . ;)

Oopss.. (Didn't they send a message? :p )

I should have sworn the archive was located in Michican, but I was probably
wrong all te time. At least I know it is in the USA, something I doubt the
mayority of USA folks even know...

Never the less, I should have checked it first, your right...

I didn't say *that*, just couldn't resist teasing you a little because
you had it wrong. ;)

I also thought, WTF? Closer to me too as I'm California, but then we have
our own: CalTech.

Much better, if you don't know for sure, to stick with the acronym. ;)

Thx MK

Yes, I did go a google search. But I just wanted to know if there were some
really good sources that folks here might know, sort of along the same lines
as the top windows freeware sites.
