Stuck in Classic Mode with no XPStyle option available in SystemOp

Last night a friend hit just a couple of keys lookin' for something on my computer. Next thing I know I can't use the "Windows+L" combo for quick user change. Now it brings up this stupid box saying that the computer is locked (wtf?) and can only be opened by the current user. I don't enter a password, hit 'OK', then the box goes away without switching users. That's problem one.

Next problem is that my desktop (and all other users) are now stuck in Classic Style mode. Going to the System Properties Window (where ya switch theme, desktop, screensaver, etc.) reveals that XP Syle isn't even available to switch back to!

I'm pretty friggin' torqued by the whole thing. To the best of my knowledge, the only thing my friend did was try the "Windows+L" combo for switching users. Then all a sudden I have these two very irritating problems.

Any help (quicker the better) is highly appreciated.

Nope, tried that. It only affects the layout of the Start
Menu itself, not the overall look of the Windows, taskbar,
etc.

New update: volume is now gone, as well. Also, can no
longer change users. Must Log Off then Log On to new user.
This is gettin' retarded....

Try:

Start -> Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Change the way users log on or
off -> Tick FAST USER SWITCHING.

If that is off, pushing Windows+L will show the computer is in use and has
been locked screen.

As for problem 2, i dont have a clue :) Will leave that for someone more
experienced.

Hi Kyle,

If the above doesn't apply/nor help:

Only windows Classic is listed under Appearance:

1. Right click on the desktop and choose Properties.
2. On the Theme tab, choose the Windows XP.
3. If this option is missing, you may choose Browse... to
C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\Luna.theme
4. The Luna.theme is the theme of the Windows XP.

If Luna.theme is missing: Go to Start/Run/Msconfig/Expand Files:
