Stripped attachments

When I am sent an email with attachments (ex. pics or an email with a couple
of forwarded emails attached), they stripped or not included in the email.
Is there a setting or something I need to change? Am new to Windows Vista
and Windows Mail (prev Outlook user). Any info is appreciated.
