Streaming Stops with Media Player

I just loaded RC1 and installed Media Player 11. When I try to listen to a
radio station not available in Chicago, I loose the sound. I have to hit
the stop icon and then the play icon to get the sound restored. Is this a
buffer problem? Does anyone know of a resolution?

Hi,

Did you forcibly install WMP11 beta 2 on top of Vista rather than use the
included version? The stand-alone beta is not intended for Vista, as Vista
already has a version of WMP11 built in.

Keep in mind as well that streaming audio can encounter many problems, not
just buffering but intermittent connections, interference from other network
traffic, and problems with your system itself. Having to repeatedly stop and
start an audio stream usually indicates a problem with the connection, but
it could be anywhere between you and the server.
