Strart menu search options gone

In Classic start menu my search button is there but options are gone now. I
cannot search for files or folders anymore. I know I could switch to the
new xp menu but I prefer the classic view.

Hi Scottrow,

Click Start, Run and type regsvr32 /i shell32.

This brings back the "For Files or Folders" sub-menu. What other options are missing?

If you hover over th 'search' option, it should expand and say 'for files or
folders' along with other options
