Strange thing when I logg into Windown XP

When I start my computer it immediately open the
C:\Program without any reason. I've tried to go inte my
Autostart folder under Documents & Settings but there was
nothing there. I'll be very pleased if anyone could help
me, if so can you send your answer to my mail? Thank you!

You most likely have the Blaster worm on your system. Refer to the site
below for removal instructions and visit Windows Update to patch your
system.

This could also be as simple as having the radial button
checked stating restore previous folder windows at
logon...go to Win Explorer select tools then folder
options...then the view tab and scroll down to you see
restore previous folder windows at logon...un check it...

I'm Sorry, please ignore my previous post. Somehow I must have replied to
the wrong thread, as the Blaster worm has nothing to do with the problem you
are having. Follow Cappy's reply instead.

Is there actually anything in the C:\Program folder? If not, then just
delete the folder. If there is, determine what program is installed there,
uninstall it, and then reinstall it, making sure it is installing to
C:\Program Files.

Check in a run of MSConfig.exe and the Startup page. Look and see if
the 'Command' in any line starts off
C:\Program Files\. . . .exe
without being wrapped in quotes
"C:\Program Files\. . . . .exe"

If so, check in the registry with a run of regedit.exe, opening the left
pane, according to whether the 'Location' is HKLM or HKCU to either
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
or
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

and in the right pane click the corresponding line in the Name column
and add the quotes
Without them, the space is seen as the end of the item that is to be
opened
