Strange message after initial login

After I initially login, a window appears entitled "Runner Error", with the
following message:

Invalid Backweb version id 6.1.4.36-8876480L

There is only a OK button to close the window.

Anyone understand what this means, and how to stop it happening?

Thanks,
Tommy

Hi,

I hope you have a Compaq machine. The Backweb is an application which is
used by Compaq Presario machines to notify about the updates. Compaq is no
longer supporting this application. You can find it and uninstall the same.

If you are experiencing the issue on a non Compaq machine. Try to identify
the startup item from MSCONFIG. You can user this built-in utility to remove
the startup programs. However, you need to do this on trail and error basis.
To make use of MS config utility, you can go to the following web site:

http://www.whizatpc.com/kbase/ka10079.html#XP

This will resolve the issue.
