Runner Error upon booting

When initially booting, I get a rectangular box, with Runner Error, on a blue background. Inside the next bos is the message, "Invalid BACKWEB application id "137903"". I must either click on the "X" by Runner Error, or on the OK box at the bottom. What cures this? What initially caused it? Had this since about 3 weeks after purchase.
