Strange lines appearing all over the screen!

I used a program to delete some spywares and after restarting my computer,
strange lines started to appear on my screen. I checked with another monitor
and it seems that it is not my monitor's fault. I am using 16-bit colour
setting, if i use 32-bit, the lines will disappear.

Anyway, the program I used to remove the spywares is Spybot Search and
Destroy.
 
See if this helps, right click on the game icon/shorcut. Click the
Compatibility tab, in display settings check the box for "Run in 256 colors"

errm wait...i tried changing the compatibility to run in 256 colours, it is
worse than before..lolol
