strange keyboard problem

just to clarify, when a key is pressed while the main user is logged in,
that strange noise is made AND nothing appears on the screen. only
after the key is held (and the noise is made again) does the character
appear.
 
Not for sure but might want to check in Accessibility Options, may have
to do with filter keys.

best thing to do is click on all 3 "Settings" buttons and uncheck "Use
shortcuts" to see if that helped
