Strange Behavior -xp Start Menu Program Folders, "Open" command in context menu hosed

When I right click on a folder in Start Menu|Programs from the Start
button and choose Open, Copy To and Move To dialogs open. I have to
cancel them before the folder will open in Explorer.

This behavior only appears when I use the context menu within the
Start Menu. If I right-click to open the same foolder in Explorer, no
problem.

Any ideas?

Check your settings here:

Right click the Start button, select Properties, Customize. Scroll through
the options on the Advanced tab and put the check mark back in Enable
dragging and dropping.
