stopping a process

How the devil do I stop a proccess when access is denied? I want to stop my
anti-virus program temporaily but all I get from task manager is 'Access is
denied'.

TYPE: services.msc
[ENTER]

Stop the service associated with your AV software, for example, "Symantec
Antivirus Client"
