Can't End Process

I can't end a process from the task manager>process tab. It gives me the
error:

Unable to Terminate Process
The operation could not be completed.
Access is denied.

This is not a permissions issue because I am using the Administrator
account. Has anyone experienced this same problem? Recommendations would be
much appreciated!

You can use pskill which is a sys internals tool you can get from MS. Works
from a command promt Pretty sweet. You can download all the sys internal
tools from here: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/default.mspx

Before you end the process or at least try... what is the name of the
process needing to be ended?

Not all processes can be killed. I know this from writing process tools
myself.

Might be a service in which you would use services.msc to stop it.

it's not a standard windows process i'm trying to stop. the processes comes
from a third party application that is installed on the system. i believe
there's about 2 or 3 processes all together that will be needed to be stopped.
