stop unsafe removal of device message

Is there a away to stop the "unsafe removal of devices" error message
when I remove a USB Keychain drive?

Do you first STOP the device using the system tray 'Unplug or Eject' icon,
then remove the USB keychain drive? If not, try stopping the device first,
then removing it.
