Stop responding when trying to move Scroll Bar

Hi,

I am using Windows XP Professional with SP2. Does anyone know which files
in Windows XP are used to handle scroll bar activities since my machine will
hang most of the times when trying to access scroll bar in any windows such
as
IE, REGEDIT or "Add/Remove Programs"? Any idea for this problem?

If you have two pointing devices installed (mouse pad, plus USB mouse, etc), try disabling one in Device Manager, temporarily, to
see if the error stops. (they are usually listed as "Human Interface Devices" in dev mgr)
