Can't scroll in Firefox 3.0.1 running XP SP3

I have a Dell desktop running XP Office Pro, which I upgraded to SP3
about a week ago.

Ever since the upgrade, I can't use the slide on the vertical scroll
bar when running Firefox 3.0.1 When I try to scroll, it works
sometimes, but after a few scrolls, the screen and all open windows
lock-up, forcing a hard-reboot. Has anyone else had this issue?

Is this a problem with FF or SP3? And more importantly, does anyone
have a fix?

Not your problem yet but I have to open up FF in Safe mode (it's own
FF safe mode) as if I attempt to save/load my bookmarks into FF the
usual way it screws around so much & loses the lot. Next time it
happens I'm reverting to an older version of FF. :-(
PS. Try to open "saved" bookmarks files saved from THIS version of FF.
I can't even open THEM? I can open my bookmarks when I'm IN FF but not
from the file saved in "docs & settings/mozilla/bookmarks....... etc.

Save your Favs and uninstall FF then run disk clean up and also a scan for
malware/viruses then try to reinstall FF.
New realese of FF having problems/bugs.
