Scroll lag / loss of graphics drivers after SP3 install

Hello all. I installed SP3 plus the IE update due to the security problem.
After installing, I now get really bad scroll lag when using IE7 and Outlook.
It also appears that I have lost my Nvidia graphics driver and the program
which allowed me to adjust the Nvidia properties. I tried to d/l and install
the latest drivers from Nvidia but when I try to install I get the message
that I "do not have any hardware in my system which supports this driver".
Has anybody else had a problem like this? Everything was working fine before
the SP3 update. Thanks for any help you can suggest.

Win Xp Home - SP3
Athlon XP 2800
1GB RAM
BFG GeForce 7800 GS
Motherboard: ASRock K7VT4A Pro

Sorry, just a bit more info - I also get the exclaimation error in the Device
Manager: "VIA CPU to AGP2.0/AGP3.0 Controller" but I can't update the driver.
I alos had a VIA RAID program which has now stopped working.
