STOP 0x0000006F

Greetings,

I got stuck with a project for one of the local company execs that should've been simple.

I'm trying to reinstall XPPro from scratch on the boss' Gateway P4 1.8GHz home system. The process starts, but I end (after the real early "Windows Setup" after booting from CD) with:

SESSION3_INITIALIZATION_FAILED
STOP 0x0000006F (0xC0000020, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

I've tried three different hard drives, I've checked with Gateway and he has the latest BIOS for his machine, I've pulled out every expansion card except the video card (kinda need that), I've cleared the BIOS (popped the battery after unplugging the system), and removed and reseated the RAM.

Any tips for the guy who got stuck with his boss' problem?

Unfortuneately, the first site, while it had a very comprehensive list, did not help in that it's suggestions all pointed to a system that was working but isn't now. I'm trying to nstall to a blank hard drive.

I could not reach the second site you mentioned, it appears to be suffering technical difficulties.

Guess I re-seat the CPU next, I don't have any other memory of the type the system uses....
