My fax is configured to receive faxes but I still can't receive them. I can send them just fine but I can't receive them. So far I've done all the steps recommended on this site...Any info is appreciated.
Post your settings and what happens when an incoming fax call arrives.
You've not provided us any information. Include error messages, Event
viewer, the fax modem you are using and whether it is on the Windows XP HCL
list.

Have same problem. The line rings. As soon as WinFax XP seizes the
line -either automatically or manually- it looks as it resets it. The fax
transmitting site stops sending its fax tone. Everything hangs until the
timeout closes this useless loop. Little caviat: this problem only happens
when the modem is a GSM. When the modem is hooked to the PSTN telephone line
on a COM port, faxes can be received fine.
I wonder whether this is a TAPI problem. Perhaps that there is another
telephony service running in the background which seizes the line away from
the fax program. Which service could this be?
Thanks for any help
