Still can't open 2nd window

I read all the exchanges betweeen Brian and Jim Byrd, and Frank Saunders.
Tried all that, still won't open 2nd window on IE6 and 98SE when I click a
link. Reinstalled 98SE and IE6 several times. Ran viruscan, Spybot etc.
Tried mcrepair.exe, did the dll's, checked the registry, I'm not in a hurry
to reformat my hard drive. Any other suggestions? Frank says he had a
solution but lost it.

Replacing the oleaut32.dll file often works (first link)

Don:
Happy to report your fix worked. That was the precision fix I needed and I
won't have to resort to the drastic step of reformating. Yes it was
oleaut32.dll and that 1st link has Frank's name (Frank, maybe that was the
answer you lost!) And I've also been able to update Windows which I wasn't
able to before. Things are back to normal and I can get on with worrying
about other things besides computer problems.

Actually, Frank Saunders did give this exact same solution in his reply to
Brian Cahill but we never heard back from Brian. Folks, if something works
you need to let the group know.
