status bar in my comp

I can't keep the status bar displayed in my comp or win explorer. I do
view/status bar to turn it on. But, when the window is closed and another
one opened, it does not save it this way. I have to turn it on again. XP
home and IE6

Hi Bill,

Go to Windows Explorer/View/Status Bar. Then go to Tools/Folder Options/View/Apply to all folders.
