Startup programs

In Vista Home Premium on my desktop, I am the only user and in Control
Panel/User Accounts I am Administrator.
In Software Explorer when looking at Startup programs, sometimes the
Enable/Disable buttons are enabled but most of the time they are not. How
can I stop programs running at startup if the buttons are greyed out?

And most programs are marked as permitted but some are shown as Not yet
classified. Is this down to the program authors or is there something I can
do?

I'm still somewhat new to Vista myself, but this should help: Right click on
the program in question, and check "run as administrator", but know it's a
safe program before you do so. Another way to kill off start-up programs is
to run MSCONFIG and delete them from the start up list.

The 'Run as admin' does not appear for me - but Msconfig has worked so thanks
for that.
