I'm having a problem w/ startup lately using xp pro.
After the computer is turned on,the moniter remains black
as if it is off (which it is not.)When I reboot from the
control tower the moniter works normally again after xp
loads (then I have to wait for scandisk to run it's
course). This does not happen everytime at startup but
seems to be happening more frequently. Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks!

.Had same problem with Windows xp home edition. After
much time and effort, found defective video (graphics)
card. repaced, everything ok. good luck.

I had this problem. turned out to be video (graphics)
card. Replaced and it fixed my problem. Are you sure you
have the proper drivers installed for you card? If so,
probably defective card. good luck.
