Startup Problem. Please help.

When I install the program WinDefend Beta 2 it is giving me trouble. It seems
like the program installs, but when it comes to the part where it "starts the
service" it says this,

"Error 1920.Sevice Windows Defender Service (WinDefend) failed to start.
Verify that you have sufficient priveleges to start system services"

I've repeatedly gone to my control panel to make sure that there isn't a
check mark under my admin settings saying that I can't start system services,
but I'm at a loss. If someone can please give me a step by step of how to get
the thing going I'd appreciate it.
