startup issue

I have xp professional. when my system boots up windows
media automatically opens. I can't find the setting to
prevent this. can anyone help?

You can either delete windows media shortcut from
Start menu, programs, start up,

Or you can open command prompt
and type msconfig

and go to startup tab and uncheck windows media
