Buffer overrun

Hello everyone.

Running Windows XP Service pack 3

When I try to start Windows Media Player, my MacAfee Security centre informs
me it has detected a buffer overrun, an this prevents Media Player from
starting, I have checked for Virus etc, but cant find any problems ! can
anyone help.

Maybe you hav'nt done your MS Updates.
