I am having a few problems with this computer! when I am connected to the
internet windows explorer keeps closing down and restarting, it ok as soon
as I disconnect it. msconfig won't work, a full virus scan 2 days ago, says
it clean. Nothing odd in Run= in regedit . can any suggest what is
happening and how to fix it.?

You *may*still have a virus. Try to create a virus "rescue disk" on a
clean machine and run it. Some viruses disable anti-virus programs.

Alternatively, you may have hardware problems. eg a failing component
or overheating.
