Startup and shutdown issues

Hi

I recently upgraded from ME to XP-Pro and all went well
during the process but I have two issues I don't know ho
to resolve:

1) On startup the CD Creator software and then Explore
(not Explorer) open up. There is nothing in the Startup
folder so I don't know why this is happening and while I
guess I could remove CD Creator I can't do that for
Explore. Any ideas?

2) A month or two after the upgrade I am suddenly getting
an error when shutting down that XP cannot close Explor
and I get asked if I want to shut down or retry. I have to
ShutDown

Don't know but suspect that the Explore part of this
problem is related but can anyone help me clean this up?

Did you remove WinME before you put in Win XP. You must
use a uninstaller, perferably a third party App. Let me
know what you did and perhaps I can help
