Starting XP

Installed XP update per Auto Update. On restart get
screen saying windows did not start successfully and
givng me choice of Safe Mode, Last configuration, or
start normally. No matter what I choose I am returned to
this save screen. How can I get windows to start????

Larry, have you tried going into Safe mode manually, it
may work. Boot up you system and press Pf8 about 2 times
per second almost immediately. If this works do a system
restore to a date before you installed the update.
