starting with windows xp system file checker not working

Hello everyong, after searching google till my eyes are bugging out i still
can't figure this one out.

Got a Viao here that got shut off with the power button while it was froze
up listing to a cd. Upon reboot, the system goes into either A: BSOD Stop
0x00000050 referencing the ntfs.sys file, or B: BSOD Stop 0x00000019. I can
boot into safe mode with out an error every time. When running diagonostic
startup from msconfig.... I can boot windows up... but if I open anything...
and i mean anything it goes into to one of the above stop messages. I have
ran windows memory checker in advanced mode over night and it reported no
errors. I've ripped almost all the hard ware out of the computer and still
same thing.

In safe mode, I can not remove all of the network adapters listed (I dont'
know why there are so many) it states that this device may be necessary to
boot the computer and will not allow me to remove it. Also when I try to run
sfc I get error 0x0000006a the rpc server is unavalible. the rpc service is
in fact running.

Any suggestions would help.

Try booting to xp cd,recovery, press enter for password, then type:
CHKDSK C: /R When its thru, type:EXIT Let xp start.Or boot to xp cd,
select install xp,repair this copy.In repair only updates are lost.Or at
start-up tap F8 select safe mode with networking, enter xp as administrator.

Andrew. you are a man of many words. All your recommendations are chkdsk and
repair install.
