starting win2000

Hi
I have a dual boot. Win Me and win2000. when I try to
start win2000, I get this error message :windows 2000
could not start because the following file is missing or
corrupt:
<windows2000 root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
please re-install a copy of the above file".
Please help. Thank you.
