I have a Sony Vaio laptop and it takes a very long time to load up. After it does finally load up it is pretty fast. Does anyone have any suggestions what this could be, and how to solve it? Thanks

Which operating system are you using?

Load up times:

Windows XP: Medium
Windows Vista: Go and make a cup of coffee
Win 7: Quite respectable, pretty quick
Linux Mint: My goodness, super quick
Apple Snow Platypuss: I have not a clue

You will have software that starts each time you boot. You may not need all that software running.

Look to disable some software on boot, that will speed up load tiime.

Other than that, if all is good when it settles down after boot you may wish to consider that's as good as it gets and be grateful you have no probs.
