Start up line

Hello,
I just purchased a HP A347X with a F1503 moniter, and
everytime i start up my computer i see the hp screen and
then right after that there is a little line basiclly
like a hyphen " - " and it stays on there for close to a
minute and then the HP screen comes up with 2 options 1.
normal startup 2. Recovery Console Home Edition but that
just flashes and I dont have time to to click on any
them, and then the computer starts up normally, How can i
fix this?

menu.

Also, you can change the timeout=30 so that the menu is on the screen
longer.
