I was does some things on my computer and it was getting a bit wierd on me as
it usually does when its been on for too long, i restart windows, and i log
in, then when i can see the desktop/start menu, after 2 seconds of it
loading, it freezes. I had this happen to me everytime i log in, but nor
frozen forever! I had it frozen for like 5-10 seconds max. I think it freezes
while loading the start-up programs. But now i can't really do anythign exept
re-format my hdd or something.. I can however move the mouse cursor and get
the task manager! thats how i'm online and here right now, i'm on my
computer, what i see on my screen right now is firefox, and a frozen menubar,
oh, and a task manager...
i tried termenating the programs in the task manager, but liek i said, its
not that kidn of program.. please any help would be great.. i'm not as much
of a newb to windows as i seem, but i have tried everythign i know..
oh, and i do not have a recent recovery cd, i only have one all the way from
when i just boought my computer (abotu a year ago) and i have Windows XP
Media Center Edition. I don't wonna re-format my hdd, i have way too many
important things on it right now... i was thinking of hooking it up to
another computer & accessign the files and putting em on a cd or something,
but i don't have another computer. Please help anyway possible..
