Windows 7 Frozen document in Windows 7

:confused:A document has frozen on my Dell Laptop Windows 7. It has been locked for over an hour and I have no idea of how to unfreeze it.
 
Push and hold, for about 5sec, the on/off button on the computer.

It won't like that, so restart in 'normal' mode.
