I've got internet connection on my system, but when I go to the help and
support section from the Start menu, below the DID YOU KNOW? area, it says
"When you are connected to the Internet, this area will display links to
timely help.....blaaa..blaaa...blaaa :) What's up with this? I already
have internet connection, it is always on type via a cable modem. This
has never happened to me before. Help me out here huh :( Thanks in
advance.

Oh yea, I posted on here a while back about i8042prt.sys always showing up
in my event viewer as FAILING TO LOAD error. Turns out all I needed was a
BIOS update. Others with the same error may want to look into that
themselves :)

I would add that you need this driver for PS2 support even if you are using
an AMD motherboard.

I have the same problem. I have a LAN connection on fiber-optics. My IE
browser uses a proxy (HTTP) & requires authentication to log on. Maybe that's
the problem.
