Similar to an earlier posting by someone else. Recommended was to see if there was adware running - it doesn't apply in this case. Tried system restore- last known good. Doesn't solve it. My icons are all on the desktop - and I can of course access task manager. Moving the pointer down to the bottom of the screen doesn't "unhide" it either.
