start button, taskbar and desktop icons disappear

Yesterday after I logged into window XP I found start button, tasker bar and
all desktop icons all disappeared. I logged out and restart my computer a few
times the result was the same - all disappear. I wonder if this can be solved
on a XP professional SP2.
