Standby

Hi,

My computer runs Win 2k, up to date. Lately I find that if I put the
computer into "standby" mode, it turns itself back on after a few minutes.
Of course, I could just shut off the monitor and get much the effect I want,
but I'd be grateful for advice on making the machine stay in standby .

Hi Dan
Go to your device manager, network adapter properties and select the power management tab. Check the box for "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". I was having the same problem and changing this setting corrected my standby issue. Good luck
