I have a number of laptops with this problem, can anyone help?

Windows XP Pro SP2 on a Toshiba laptop

Svchost.exe Application error Instruction at 0x7c80a72b referenced memory at
0x0000000c

Netsvcs does not start

Computer starts ok in safe mode with networking

Problem began in end August and only affects some laptops.

Currently the only fix seems to be a complete re-install

I too have rec'd this issue on numerous computers... Here it was Windows
Updates that caused the problem.. the below listed URL solved all my problems:
