Spyware software problem

After installing Webroot's Spy Sweeper software (supposedly compatible with
Windows XP), Ms-Office (excel, Word and Powerpoint) and Windows Media Player
don't work. They start to open, then shut down and open a problem
notification box. Installation of Office 2000's service pack didn't help.
Only if I disable the Spy Sweeper software, will the Office programs and
media player function properly.

I had the same software installed on an older computer running Windows 98SE
and experienced no problems.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Remove the program, or leave it disabled when you want to use the apps at
you mention, as it seems it won't work with XP. There are better spyware
removers, that won't mess with your apps; Adaware, Spybot Search And
Destroy, are two of the best, and they are free.
