I have read on a number of boards that this virus "could"
have been part of the original beta release. Any truth?
Also can someone point me toward a solution. Symantec
identifies the virus but says it can't be cleaned.

It can be cleaned but dont do this without guide
if something don´t match.

Sounds bogus to me - no virus was distibuted with the original beta.
However, the original beta did flush a lot of bugs out of their hiding
places and caused them to cause problems.
